Garry exploded onto the scene perhaps a little too early in his career, a fantastic strike-rate at the start of Bobby Williamson's time at Easter Road leading to his selection by Bertie Vogts for the Scotland squad - before he had even made an appearance at Under-21 level.

There followed some difficult times for Garry - but this summer he has approached the new campaign with a steely determination to re-establish himself as Hibs main striker, and scoring Hibs only goal in the ill-fated Intertoto Cup campaign certainly did his confidence no harm at all.
