Snapped up from Alex McLeish's Rangers last summer, Stephen is perhaps as close as Hibs have to what can be described as a 'penalty box' striker. Given the ammunition Stephen is a natural goalscorer, and in his first season at Easter Road he appeared to take a particular liking to the League Cup - a hat-trick in an earlier game against Montrose, and then a vital equalising goal in the semi-final against his former club without doubt the two highlights of his first season as a Hibs player.

Competition for places up front in this Hibs squad is even tighter this season than it was last, so Stephen knows that only by being on top of his game will he be able to add to his scoring exploits.
