Stephen
quickly became one of the hottest properties in Scottish football after
first breaking into the Aberdeen first team, where he played alongside
Gary Smith. A move south of the border to Newcastle saw Premiership experience,
but Stephen never quite made the breakthrough and moved on to Watford
before finally being attracted back to Scotland last summer.
Injury blighted his
first season at Easter Road however, but Stephen is another player who
in pre-season has shown Tony Mowbray that he can be a highly important
part of his side in the current campaign - and perhaps provide Stephen
with a platform on which to break back into the throughts of the Scotland
national coach. |
